Giant mahogany trees or sparkling skyscrapers? On this trip, you get it all! As the saying goes, opposites attract. Hop between the metropolises of Singapore and Kuala Lumpur and right into the jungles of Sumatra. Explore tropical rainforests on Indonesia's unspoilt islands and pitch a tent in Gunung Leuser National Park. Hike through the undergrowth, listen for the calls of exotic animals and stay on the lookout to spot the orangutans, gibbons and hornbills hiding in the dense canopy. Experience even more natural wonder and add another tick to your bucket list as you watch the sunrise on the summit of the Mount Sibayak volcano. Then get ready to add the next one! Trek past wild waterfalls to the island of Samosir, a veritable jewel in the heart of Lake Toba, the deepest crater lake in the world. Discover the long-preserved traditions and rituals of the resident Batak people and marvel at your hosts' distinctive pointed houses, colourful ulos and beaming smiles. It's time for a breathtaking adventure!

Trip itinerary

You've got your suitcase in hand, your sunglasses on and a big grin on your face. Today's the day! You're ready to make your long-awaited Malaysian dream come true! You can hardly wait to explore the country and experience every facet of it. Vibrant cities, green highlands and mystical jungles – it's the perfect mix for the trip of a lifetime! 'So, when will this plane finally land?'

Either you were so excited about what's to come that you woke up before you landed or you dreamt all the way to the airport. In either case, as you roll down the runway, look out the window and see the city getting closer and closer, you're definitely wide awake.
If you want to gather your strength for the adventures to come, you'll have no problem doing it here. Settle in at your accommodation in peace and quiet and recover from the journey in – a beautiful view guaranteed. And if you're still far from tired, then dive right into the city to get a taste of the buzz on the streets and find the perfect place for a bite to eat!

You've surely already seen the city's iconic landmark, the imposing Petronas Towers. But if you want to head to the top of the world's tallest twin towers and walk across the Skybridge, it's best to book a ticket in advance – they sell out fast! Be sure check out the Sri Mahamariamman Temple, too. It's one of the oldest Hindu temples in the country and bursting with colour and all kinds of details – definitely a vibe you'll want to experience! Afterwards, with the city's must-sees all checked off, it's time for the must-dos. And come evening, the street food scene bursts into life. First stop: Chinatown! On Petaling Street, you'll find dumplings, satay and even more goodies. Then it's on to the trendy Bukit Bintang district, where endless shopping opportunities and next-level snacks await. Still not tired? Then take in the views from the nearby Heli Lounge Bar – a helipad that transforms into a rooftop bar. Cheers to that!

If you just can't get enough of the urban bustle, it's high time to pay a visit to colourful Little India in the Brickfields district. Here you'll be surrounded by hip beats, the aromas of next-level street food and bright splashes of colour in the form of flowers and clothing on every corner. You won't be able to stop snapping pics! For a little breather, head to the Hindu temple and find your inner Zen. Or, if you're looking for more adventure, then a day trip to the Cameron Highlands or Taman Negara National Park is just the thing! Book an adventure outside the city and experience authentic Malaysia (optional, bookable in advance)! Then head back to the city and stroll along the Gombak River promenade in the evening's glowing light. From Merdeka Square to the Jamek Mosque, there's still so much culture and magic to discover!
