More than ready to hit the jungle, it's hello, San José! Your plane lands, you pick up your hire car right at the airport and then drive to where you're staying. After safely parking your trusty new companion for the next few weeks, it's time to check in and put your feet up. You settle in in peace and quiet and soon find yourself dreaming of all the adventures to come. Tomorrow, you're off into tropical paradise!

You make your way inland through Costa Rica's green hinterland to the Monteverde cloud forest, which is very close to your new accommodation.

Still have time for more today? Then head into the greenery! Hop in your hire car and blaze your own trail to your misty mountain adventure in no time (optional, entrance fee payable on site). Hike through a fairytale forest past moss-covered lianas glistening with small drops of dew and have a picnic by the babbling brook before heading into the mysterious marshland to marvel at the rushing waterfalls. And make sure to check out the reserve's hanging bridges. They're a particularly exciting attraction that you definitely won't want to miss. Gorges and rivers below you, mystical mist surrounding you and gigantic treetops overhead, where sloths, monkeys and even rare jaguars spend their days – nowhere else in Costa Rica will you dive deeper into the heart of the wilderness. What an adventure!

It's a new day, and with it comes a new adventure! Discover Monteverde's culinary side and feast your way through cafés, bakeries and restaurants before answering the call of the jungle yet again. Instead of going it on foot, you can also explore the cloud forest in many other ways, for instance, on horseback or a quad bike, and you can even walk above the treetops on the hanging bridges (all optional and bookable on site). So get ready for a day that's guaranteed to be packed with action! You'll of course also be hoping to meet all kinds of colourful jungle creatures again today. Just lean your head back; between colourful toucans and quetzals, you won't know where to look first. And you're sure to spot even more exotic birds flying out of seemingly nowhere from the huge blanket of mist – simply magical!

Bienvenido a Tamarindo! The small coastal town with its 1.5-mile beach right on the Pacific Ocean instantly has you shook. Right after you check in, you're already out the door, waltzing through the alleyways and past small boutiques and cafés. The sunsets here are an absolute highlight, so when you finish exploring, off you go to Playa Tamarindo. And if the weather's good as the sun dips into the sea, you can see the clouds reflected on the waves in a gorgeous orange-pink hue. Sounds beautiful, doesn't it?
